2025年9月3日から5日にかけて、バンコク・BITECで開催された “Thailand LAB International 2025” に出展いたしました。 今回の出展では、タイの工業省工業局（DIW）や公害管理局（PCD）でも採用されている嗅覚測定法、三点比較式臭袋法（Triangular Odor Bag Method ; TOB法） の紹介を中心に行いました。

　ブースを訪れた多くの方々とお話しする中で、改めて TOB法がまだタイ国内では十分に認知されていないことを実感しました。一方で、来場者の中には「新しいビジネス領域としてTOB法を導入したい」「臭気測定を海外機関に依頼している」等など、具体的な関心を寄せてくださる方々も多くいらっしゃいました。

　また少数ながら、すでに自社内に臭気測定ラボを保有している企業もあり、「Omi Odor Air Serviceとして、その設備環境や測定体制に問題がないかアドバイスが欲しい」との要望も頂き、今後のTOB法の拡大の可能性を感じる場面もありました。

　会場内の他ブースの傾向ですが、国内外からの測定器材メーカーやその代理店の出展が多く、実際に測定や研究を行う機関の出展はありませんでした。そのため、当社ブースでは実務的な臭気測定の紹介を行うことができ、来場者の関心を引く貴重なポジションとなりました。

　今回の出展を通じ、TOB法のさらなる周知活動の必要性を改めて認識しました。当社としては、今後もDIWやJAOE（におい・かおり環境協会）

との連携を深め、タイ国内でのTOB法の定着と臭気環境の改善に貢献していきたいと考えています。それでは…

It has been a long time since we last communicated. This is Mr. Noose.

We exhibited at “Thailand LAB International 2025,” held at BITEC in Bangkok from September 3 to 5, 2025. Our exhibition primarily focused on introducing the Triangular Odor Bag Method (TOB), which is adopted by Thailand’s Ministry of Industry’s Department of Industrial Works (DIW) and the Pollution Control Department (PCD).

During our time at the booth, I realized that the TOB method is still not sufficiently recognized within Thailand. However, many visitors expressed concrete interest, stating things like, “We want to introduce the TOB method as a new business area” and “We are currently outsourcing odor measurement to overseas organizations.”

Additionally, there were a few companies that already have odor measurement labs in-house, and they requested advice on whether their equipment environment and measurement systems were adequate as “Omi Odor Air Service.” This gave me a sense of the potential for expanding the TOB method in the future.

Regarding the trends at other booths in the venue, there were many exhibitors from domestic and international measurement equipment manufacturers and their agents, but there were no institutions actually conducting measurements or research. Therefore, our booth was able to provide practical introductions to odor measurement, making it a valuable position to attract visitor interest.

Through this exhibition, I once again recognized the necessity of further promoting the TOB method. Our company intends to deepen our collaboration with DIW and JAOE (Japan Association for Odor and Fragrance Environment) and contribute to the establishment of the TOB method and the improvement of odor environments in Thailand.
